    A True Gift!

I wholeheartedly love THE GAME OF YOU. I've been working with it a lot lately and I amazed by the breadth, quality, and conscientiousness of the wisdom. Not only that! I'm also so impressed with how Lynn Zavaro could conceptualize and organize it into a beautiful tool illustrated by her own stunning and honest work. It is a gift to the world!

The Game of You, a very useful tool!

I believe this is my first review here, and there is a good reason why... please read on.

I'm completely baffled that an incredible deck\tool called "The Game of You" has not been discussed or reviewed more at length either in the Tarot or Buddhist communities that I belong to. And so short of writing a formal review I would love to share my experience with you.

My interest in tarot started out of my own practice in engaged Buddhism, and mindful living, and in looking for Mediation type cards I found Tarot.... well many decks later, and having walked through the wonderful door into the world that Tarot is, I found a couple of very special decks. One of them is The Game of You by Lynn Zavaro

While Lynn uses the structure of Tarot, and many wonderful Buddhist teachings, she never mentions either and so because of this it is an incredible powerful tool and open to those who are unfamiliar with either discipline.

Aside from being so approachable Lynn is a highly trained and qualified individual. She has a Masters degree in counseling, and very knowledgeable about Buddhist teachings, (And from my experience with The Game of You) and very solid in the structure and use of the Tarot.

This deck is so special to me that I ordered about 1/2 dozen copies to give to some very close friends and family. I gifted one of these to a dear couple at my Sangha (Buddhist community) as a going away present because they are relocating to California, and passed around some literature cards provided by Lynn to other members so they can find out more about it.

Aside from the great content and practical applications that Lynn provides, by not labeling her deck Tarot, Buddhist, etc... I for one have been able to open the door (for some people that are close to me) to these two wonderful worlds without the stigma, or stereotypes that the labels "Tarot" or "Buddhism" carry. We even have an extra deck on our coffee table for anyone to pickup and use.

Lynn has been a pleasure to deal with. After getting my first deck, because I wanted to buy a few, and they are so special, I purchased directly from her and she wrote some beautiful and meaningful dedications on the decks that I purchased. I simply cannot thank her enough, and also feel it is my responsibility to share her work with others.

So I highly recommend that you check out her site, and find out more about it.

You can purchase the deck here. Not only is it very reasonably priced, but is also published by Schiffer which as you may be aware, is becoming one of the best publishers of quality products in tarot.

And so if you are interested in learning more about who you are, and to learn about very meaningful and practical practices that can help you with this effort, I hope you give Lynn Zavaro a chance to help you along with The Game Of You.

Anyone still wanting to grow as a Human Being should "play" this Game!

I have been using Lynn's beautiful and fun deck "Game of YOU" since it came out on day 1 ! The images on each card make you feel good. They are user friendly , happy, uplifting little helpers that set you on your true path on a daily basis. I cant say enough thanks to Lynn for making this info available in such an easy , all embracing way. The "tools" suggested after each card is really where the work is but even if you only read the card and keep the words close to you during the day, you will feel more empowered.

    Vibrant Cards, Powerful Wisdom

"This game is about YOU...Learn how to resolve day-to-day issues on the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical level, develop a stronger inner-relationship to have healthier outer relationships, come to better understand your life's spiritual path, and apply the tools necessary to create the life you've always wanted. With intention and intuition, you will enter into a magical, powerful and profound experience of self-discovery and personal transformation." - Lynn Zavaro, Creator and Artist of the Game of You

Lively colors splashed upon 78 cards--painted by the author using a intuitive technique called "Process Painting"--offer seekers a portal into the emotional, spiritual, physical, mental and relational components of the Self, as well as the 22 major Life Path steps common to everyone.

If the description of The Game of You sounds familiar, it's because this particular oracular system is based upon the structure of Tarot, but the designations and titles have been updated for a more psychological approach.

Although all cards are re-named, the Game of You deck still resembles a Tarot deck in that:

    * Roman Numerals assigned to the Life Path Cards (bordered in purple and corresponding to the Major Arcana)
    * Red borders for the Spiritual Level Cards
    * Blue borders for the Emotional Level Cards
    * Yellow borders for the Mental Level Cards
    * Green borders for the Physical Level Cards
    * Inner Family Support System designated Child, Young Adult, Mother and Father (correlating to the Court Cards)

The Game of You deck comes in a large sturdy flip-top box with a 223-page companion book that explains each card and provides an actionable Tool for probing, contemplating or applying the wisdom of each. However, this book is much more than a mere deck guide: even on its own, the exercises, examples and questions presented by Lynn Zavaro lights the way to a more compassionate, mindful path to self-awareness.

The bright, cheerful artwork reminds me of some of the whimsical Hay House empowerment decks or the Mythical Goddess Tarot), with the glossy 4 ¾ x 3 ¼ inch cards shuffling easily.

I've been using the Game of You for the last several weeks and, I have to tell you, it's been such wonderfully grounding tool, especially after a long day writing or doing client Tarot readings. When I'm feeling weary, too much "in my head" or spiritually drained, I grab this deck. I'm not exaggerating when I say that after I draw one card and read Zavaro's soothing, illuminating insights, my shoulder muscles relax, I breathe deeper and restfulness washes over me.

Every one-card reading with the Game of You has been incisively accurate, usually confirming what I know, but sometimes fail to practice. I had to smile when I drew the same card two days in a row, with the third day's card pretty much echoed the previous wisdom!

Weaving in gentle yet powerful approaches for self-inquiry, mind/body awareness, visualizations, meditative prompts and more, The Game of You provides a psychological depth and spiritual richness lacking in many Tarot books, allowing the cards to be the profoundly transformational tool that it can be.

Those who resonate with the teachings of Don Miguel Ruiz, Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, Sharon Salzburg, Jack Kornfield, Natalie Goldberg and others will likely embrace The Game of You, especially since the author uses the cards to confront dualistic thinking, disem

The Best Game You'll Ever Play!

I LOVE The Game of You! I began drawing cards on the website and was blown away by the accuracy of the feedback. Then I attended Lynn's workshops and uncovered ways to live my best life. I am so grateful to now have this life-changing book and card deck at my fingertips; it's the perfect way to practice, daily, what I learned in the workshops.

Great new way to approach self transformation

This card deck and book set is so chock full it amazes me. Even pulling just one card can provide incredible insight to whatever I'm experiencing. And beyond the card descriptions, I'm struck by the tools on each card; they are very unique and seem to cut right through to the heart of the matter and cause me to view things quite differently. It's also fun! And addicting! I'm giving this as gifts to all my friends who are interested in their personal growth
