Meet the Author

Todd Thorne resides in the Piney Woods of East Texas with his wife and two technophile sons. He's come to expect and appreciate labels of 'dark and gritty' as pertains to his writing and he feels the space-time continuum must grind to a halt the day he writes a lighthearted, cozy yarn. He's been fortunate enough to have a few tales published online and he intends to follow suit with a crunchy novel or twelve.

When Todd dons his ridiculous crustacean skullcap, pumpkins tremble in fear.

    I Also Recommend:

    Ugh...

I decided to download this book because it was free, and it sort of sounded interesting. Like 10 pages into the story, after introducing the main character (Timmy) and his family, the entire thing transitions over to someone who you've never heard of (Joshua), in some strange place you've never heard of, with strange monsters you've never heard of. The reader doesn't even know how the character arrived at the location. Some time (like 3 pages) into this "new adventure," the story introduces another character (Allison), with strong traits that may just save the plot... And then promptly kills her off on the next page. I couldn't of disliked it more, even being a fan of teen sci-fi, fantasy, and fiction books. The only satisfaction this book gave me was archiving it into my Nook at the end. Any remarks of "Wow, this book seems good!" Or "Oh cool it's called Game Over, it must be good!" Should be used to hang the author by his feet from the ceiling because: A: It has nothing to do with video games at all.
    B: No one dies.
    and C: It just sucks.
Just save yourself the trouble of reading this book. If you have already downloaded it, please promptly archive it and go find another free book, like The Unsuspecting Mage, that book was amazing. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that the entire story is squished into 59 pages, which rushes the entire plot and makes the characters seem like unemotional bricks, mostly because their introductions are so short, it's hard to relate to them in any way. But, I guess you get what you pay for, right?

This really isn't a good book.

It was weird and confusing, and it really didn't make any sense at all. By the way, it's really short. It was sci-fi, and I think the author was just using up his free time when he wrote this. Overall, I don't think most people would like to read it. :(

    Warning: Excplicit content

This book hit me right in the face with a bout 5 or 6 swears this book is not for anyone not in middle school. Also, this book jumps around to different characters and is very confusing. 2 stars max.

    OK

If you use your imagination, you might be able to fill in the gaps. It's got a pretty good moral though it's confusing. Timmy is basically having trouble with his mom and a bully. So, he uses his life story and problems to make a dream (they can make dreams and the bully is using dreams to scare Timmy). He uses the dream to get back at the bully and solves that problem.

    A Fun Read

Although this may seem like a book for young teens, it goes to the heart of many. Perhaps if we as adults were able to create our own 'streams' to let loose our own inner demons then perhaps the world (along with those on it) would be better off. I look forward to reading more from this wonderful author and who knows once you read this maybe your game will go in a brand new direction.

    Um...

It has explicit words in it. Your kid should not be reading a book that has the s word in it!!!

    GOSH PEOPLE!

OK. Seriously. If you are going to post a comment in public, you should at least spell things correctly. Here is an example of how an idiot spells, "Character". C-H-A-R-T-E-R. No. It is spelled C-H-A-R-A-C-T-E-R. If I have made the person who wrote the comment bad...I am very sorry. And since this is for book reviews...I guess I will review it. I thought that it was a pretty good book for only 59 pages. So there...I made my point AND reviewed the book all in one! I killed two birds in one stone!
