Meet the Author

Alan Durant lives and works in England. He has written more than 60 books for kids of all ages--from picture books to teenage thrillers. He also writes many different types of stories, including science fiction, adventure, comedy, and mystery.

Durant wrote the Gamer books for his son Kit, but don't think he didn't have any fun. To research the book, Durant spent lots of hours playing video games. He also enjoyed working with his friend, illustrator Sue Mason.

Sue Mason has been a freelance illustrator for five years but has worked in publishing for more than 10 years. Today, Mason illustrates a variety of children's books. She loves creating quirky creatures, especially robots, for both big and little kids. She currently lives and works in London, England.
