    I Also Recommend:

    Fabulous!!

The newest addition to the endearing Magic Tree House books is a unique one-- an activity book based on the series. This superb activity book contains five different fun activities corresponding to each Magic Tree House book, including Merlin Missions. Children have to recall some facts from each book in order to complete the puzzles. As soon as I received the notice that this book had just come out, I ordered three of them-- one for my oldest son (10 years old), who has been an avid reader the Magic Tree House books since he's been in first grade; another for my middle son (8 1/2), who has learning disabilities and loves being read to one (or two or three...) chapters each night from Magic Tree House books and follows the plot throughout the books really well...; and a third book for my almost-8-yr old niece that we got hooked on this series a year and a half ago. All three kids LOVED the activity book-- my niece declared it was her "favorite book ever!" My sons look forward to working on a new activity each day, and dream about building their own tree house.... I find that the activities (codes, word puzzles, open-ended drawing scenes, dot-to-dot, etc) are fun, engaging, challenging, and educational. I think that this activity book would be appropriate for children ages 7-8 and up. It is great that children can use all the information, skills, facts, and excitement that they developed through reading the Magic Tree House books, to be applied in completing this amazing activity book. I would highly recommend it, and would love to see more activity books like this come out in the future.

Great, fun addition to Magic Treehouse series

My 7, almost 8-yr old, son has really enjoyed the activities in this book. He has been challenged to rememeber the stories on which the puzzles are based, but fortunately for many he doesn't need to remember every tale. The puzzles and activities have adequate directions so they can be completed without having read or reviewed the books.

    Really terrific book!

My children and I love Jack and Annie's adventures. They are educational reads that are very entertaining. I love the historical aspect of the books. This activity book has kept my 6-year-old daughter and I busy for hours. I have really enjoyed assisting her with the puzzles and activities and she can't get enough of it. If your children like Jack and Annie, they'll love this book!

A Must for a MTH Fan

This is a great tool and follow up for children who read the MTH series. My son just loves it and finds it challenging. To complete this puzzle book, you have to read all the books! It's motivating!!!

    Such a cute story

This book has been around a while. Our children red it when they were young, and now their children have read it too. The young children in the book inspire the young reader to appreciate friends and to enjoy doing things with his or her friends. When our grandchildren finished this book, they decided they wanted to make a treehouse where they could have their friends come over and enjoy it with them. They drew up plans and showed the plans to their friends for comments and changes. They went into their rooms and picked out items that they could put into the playhouse. Right now the house in in the planning stages still, but if they persist they will have a tree house of their own.
