Meet the Author

Brian J. Barrett, PhD, has worked as an elementary physical educator since 1979. Currently a teacher, Barrett has presented in numerous workshops at the local, state, national, and international levels. A member of AAHPERD (American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance), the American College of Sports medicine, and the North American Society for Pediatric Exercise Medicine, Barrett has contributed numerous articles in a variety of professional journals and conducted research on the physiological and psychological contributions of selected low-organization games. Barrett lives in Freehold, New Jersey, with his wife, Monica, her son Michael, their daughter Rose, and his mother, Lois.
