Everyone's favorite ice cream truck is doing everything he can think of to make himself dizzy. Nothing seems to be working as well as he'd like. Izzy goes through the car wash, gets covered in suds, and spins himself in circles. He gets in a tizzy, feels whizzy and fizzy, but is he ever DIZZY IZZY?

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sarah Maury Swan
Max, the big-wheeled pickup truck, gets himself in big trouble by zooming and flying along the highway. When he can't get loose from skidding upside down under a bridge, he calls his friend Jack, the tractor trailer truck. "No luck. Max is stuck." Kat, the road grader, can't dig him out. Gabby, the garbage truck, tries to talk him out from under the bridge. No luck, there. And all the Ice Cream Truck can do is offer ice cream. The Fire Truck twins can't hose him out. Poor Max; seems he's really stuck. Not to worry, Tow Truck Ted comes to the rescue and flips Max, dragging him clear of the bridge. But Max hasn't learned his lesson. All the trucks head to Pete's house for a party, but the road signs are confusing and tell them to do silly things like wear fake mustaches. Finally, they reach Pete's and have a grand party. When they ask how to get home, Pete tells them to just follow the signs. Izzy, the ice cream truck, likes to get dizzy, but instead he ends up fizzy and in a tizzy and thinks he's fuzzy. Cute stories with lots of word repetition to help beginning readers recognize words. The drawings complement the words. Part of the "Ready-to-Read" series. Reviewer: Sarah Maury Swan
