I like the childen. I hate the selfish mayor. Just want to make the town larger. Theend was the funniest part of the hole story to me. Short just the way i like it.

So the boys WANTED to read this, after all how many bedtime stories have "burp" in the title. It was laid out funny so part of the page was off the screen to the right no matter how I set the text, including publisher default. It read well, but it was better geared to youngsters who a not near or reading chapter books for story time. I'm glad it was free, and I'm glad we read it. Not sure it was good enough to say I'd pay, and the layout would have peeved me had I paid money for it.

This book was so fun to read. It reads like a Dr Suess book. My grandkids and first grade class loved it. It had a message of careing for the earth and the future. Now you may say that your tired of hearing this but, trully it's a fact! I loved reading this and watching the children try to find ways that they could recycle! Thank you for this book. We are looking forward to reading more of his books! KEEP WRITING!!!

Overview
A monster at the bottom of a hill eats all of the garbage generated by the town on top of the hill. This provides two important benefits: The monster is happy with plenty to eat and the town stays nice and clean. Unfortunately, as the town grows, so does the amount of garbage the monster must consume. He gets bigger - and he starts burping. This is, as you can probably guess, a bit unsightly and stinky. In the end, the kids figure out how to solve the problem - despite the nasty mayor's doubts and objections.
