Being the main figurehead of the Grateful Dead was just one of Jerry Garcia's outlets for his insatiable love of music and performance. Apart from the hundreds of yearly Dead gigs, Garcia participated in countless less publicized jam sessions and often played out solo or with the Jerry Garcia Band.
