Jason O'Grady developed an affinity for Apple computers after using the original Lisa and in 1984 he got a 128k Mac. He started writing one of the first daily Apple online publications (O'Grady's PowerPage) in 1995. I picked up this book on a whim after seeing it at the end of an aisle after the holidays. One of my family members received a Garmin nuvi as a gift, and we hadn't yet figured out how to use it beyond the basic functions. This book covers not only how to use the most basic functions, but also basic safety, theft-prevention, customization, and more. It's become the invaluable handbook that really explains how to do what you need to do with your Garmin.

My first experience with Garmin - I didn't even know there were different models with different features. Unfortunately this book did not help to inform. An hour on the phone with Garmin tech did however. I would like to see the book tell me which models have what features & how to use them. I am a Mac user, but things I thought I could use were not available for my model so it just confuesd me more.
