Christmas . Rice completed his M.F.A. studies at Stephen F. Austin
College. He holds degrees in art from the University of Texas and Howard Payne
College, and has taught art and music at colleges and high schools in Texas and
Louisiana. Rice is currently Author in Residence at several schools in Texas.
