Description: This book has been completely revised and updated into a one-volume clinical reference highlighting the incorporation of pathophysiology, diagnostic, and treatment modalities into endoscopic practice. Purpose: Although endoscopy constitutes a prominent part of the diagnosis and treatment of GI and hepatobiliary diseases, the authors wish to emphasize the basic principles for the appropriate use of this technology. The book succeeds very nicely in blending endoscopic principles and practice with the underlying pathophysiology, presentation and treatment of GI diseases. It is superbly illustrated and, together with the accompanying photo CD-ROM, makes for an outstanding educational tool.

It is edited by six prestigious gastroenterologists and, with many new and fully updated chapters that are written by 134 of the most prominent names in the field of GI, this new edition is a comprehensive endoscopic book that brings the field up-to-date.
Features: The book concentrates more on the practical hands-on instructions in the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of GI disease. The book covers a wide range of gastroenterology topics such as common gastritis, GERD and infectious diseases, benign and malignant lesions of the esophagus, the stomach, the intestines, and the pancreas and biliary tree.
