Having grown up with many prayerbooks, this one is one of the easiest to follow. All of the essentials for worship are contained in it. In addition, there are readings and songs that can enrich anyone's need for prayer. The book strikes a good balance between Hebrew and English. It is an excellent text for lay persons who wish to conduct their own services, though it does not provide any guide for how to do so. It also does not fully eliminate the gender references that are troublesome to some more Progressive Jews. Overall, a very good prayer book.
