I special ordered this before its publish/release date. I just got the book and I am thrilled with both the content and price. The information in here is priceless and I would recommend this book to anyone who is big into computers, IT, DIY projects, gadgets, technology, home automation, X10, structured wiring, and essentially, the consolidation of technology, machinery, computers and communication in your own home; essentially things to make your life easier and make everyone else wish they were as cool as you when they hang out at your crib ;-) LOL Also if you are into running an HDTV or other TV, monitors, off of your PC as a media server, wiring your entire house for audio/video, and integrated security systems, via hard wired and USB cameras, and even monitoring all types of sensors, via PC, or otherwise, wired or wireless, this book is very comprehensive in what it explains in great detail. It's written well also; unlike many programming language or other IT books -can't blame the nerds for being repressed when it comes to communication with the general human public -but this book is not written like that at all... When I first saw that it was coming out, I knew it was right up my alley, but I was concerned when I saw the complete title was '10' projects... I thought it might be some basic stuff, like 'big deal' kind of stuff...but actually it's very hardcore and elite... the various chapters and topics don't capitalize off of obvious, uncreative or well known, type information,... This is a great book...at a great price!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
