If you want a huge number of patterns that don't actually come out looking very good, 'Generation T' is the book for you. With the huge surge in t-shirt crafting books, it's hard to navigate the field, but there's one book that I keep going back to, 'T-Shirt Makeovers.'

Fantastic ideas for all!

This book is a wonderful source of ideas for recycling t-shirts. Not only is there something for everyone, with themes ranging from people clothes to pet clothes to household accessories, but the skill level required is also for everyone. Not everything requires sewing, and the things which do are easily sewn by hand -- no machine required. My teenaged daughters spend a rainy afternoon holed up with this book, a stack of old t-shirts, and my sewing kit, and I never heard a peep from them. PRICELESS! They are already talking about what they will make for their friends for Christmas.

A great book with step-by-step instructions on how to turn plain or old t-shirts into great fastion statements.

The Way to Make T-shirts Cool Again

My 13-year-old daughter wanted this book badly. She had a zillion school t-shirts that she wanted to wear, but they were too boxy for a girl. She has made so many variations from this book, and her friends now have her making shirts for them! She almost has a side business going due to this book.

JUST AS GOOD AS THE FIRST

I own Megan Nicolay's first T-shirt recon book. There's always a concern that when a follow up book comes out it won't be as good as the first, but that is not the case here! As always, clear and concise instructions, fun projects, great inspiration. If you like T-shirt recons this is your bible. Get 'em both and enjoy!

Everyone has millions of Tshirts and this is the book to use

Both volumes are different and it was a good reference book it you want to recycle those old t shirts

Great ideas for the "T" generation!

I mentor sewing students at a local high school and don't have lots of time to spend with them each week. This book contains simple but marvelous projects that are fun and easy, can't wait to get started in the coming semester with some of the ideas!

I LOVE THIS BOOK IT'S AWESOME!

I'm an avid sewer and quilter, but this book is easy enough for a complete beginner to dive right into their existing t-shirt stash and make something cool in no time at all! I have seen other t-shirt books, and took this one out of the library, twice, and then decided to buy it for myself. The other books don't compare. Plus it's not that expensive! I managed to combine different ideas from the book to make my own design. ENJOY!

Great Book

It Is A Great Book, So Useful For T-Shirt Makeovers And I Know That Anyone Who Enjoys Reusing T-Shirts And Who Has Skills With Sewing And Crafting Will Love It!!!

So many ideas so little quantity of shirts

I couldn't be happier with this book. I actually ran across it at another store for a lot more money but so happy I found it for a reasonable price. There are so many great ideas for both men and women. What I liked even more is they have variations for each idea (multiple shirts, skirts, dresses). The step by step instructions with accompaning visual aids are wonderful. There are a lot of great crafty ideas as well (purses, flowers...). I feel it was worth the price (well B&N price). Now I just have to run out and get some t-shirts!

Great for the younger generation

I bought this book for my daughters, both in their early 20's. They loved it and it is great to see their handy work. They have great fashions out t-shirts in their closet. Wonderful Book!!!

The Perfect How To Book

I've been messing around cutting my own t-shirts for a while, and had become dry with ideas. I came across this book and it's ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Anyone can use it - whether you know how to sew or not. The book has 5 different levels of projects ranging in difficulty, as well as alternative cutting styles for each project. It really sparks your imagination while reading through it. There are several "no sewing" projects that just involve cutting, and also gives safety pinning as a fashionable alternative to some projects if you don't want to sew. There's even a project that doesn't even involve cutting, just folding and tying... If you wanna try your hand at sewing, the book does detail how to go through and do the different stitches you'll need to use. If you don't have a sewing machine, you can still do everything by hand - just takes more patience. All the pictures and steps are simple to follow. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to alter their T-shirts.

A beginning sewer

I am a beginner to sewing, and it really helps. Although some of the projects are strange, many of them are fun. I enjoyed doing many of them,and I am now starting a new project. It helps you learn and practice sewing, and that is very helpful to a beginner.

Great Source of Ideas!

Some of the patterns may not look as great, but there are a great number that do. For a basic sewer, this will work wonders. However, for someone that has more skills can utilize this book as a great source to get your creative juices flowing. I would recommend this book to anyone. I am happy that I purchased it!

Awesome!

I'm with Michelle! This book is fun, full of great ideas that are creative & you can add your own touches, you simply can't make a mistake, no matter what you do! The suggested designs are fun & easy to do, very little stitching required, just a little reconstruction, that's all! Basically - you just have FUN! The book's a blast! Even my kids have swiped it on me! You're recycling, too! :) PS. I'm soon to be 47 yrs. old, too! Goes to show you're never too old to have fun!

Don't toss that T-shirt!

I'm not sure how many projects I've done from the book, but they've all come out fabulous! The projects are fun and don't even require a serger or sewing machine, although some require lots of hand-stitching which can get time-consuming. The ideas are basically jumping off points, so you can modify the details and add your own twists. If you're ready to turn your boring T's into head-turning eye catchers, I suggest this book.
