Chapter One

The Start of all the Trouble

2005 Late July

Out side the small town of Bayport on the cost of Main, over looking the Mariners Bay on top of a tall cliff, sat a lone house about 350 feet away from the edge of the cliff. High in the window of the Widows walk was a 16-year-old girl sitting on the window seal with her right leg hanging out the window. Her left leg was bent with her toes bent up on the window frame. The ocean breeze blew her hair lightly as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back and breathed in deeply the sea air.

The girl looked out at the storm far over the ocean on the other side of the bay. The wind picked up as lightning lit up most of the storm as the girl said, with a sight, "Good thing it is out there!"

A woman's voice sounded from the room down the spiral stairs, "Jena time for bed!" Jena sighed and said, as she looked at the stairs, "Just a minute mom!"

The woman walked away as she closed the door behind her. Jena pulled her right leg in the window and stood, as she closed and locked the window. She sighed as she walked down the stairs that led to her bedroom. Jena walked over to one of her two dressers as she pulled the top drawer opened and pulled out a sweatshirt and sweatpants as she walked out the door and walked into the bathroom to change. Three minutes latter Jena emerged and walked back into her bedroom. She turned the lights off as she shut the door and walked over to her bed on the other side of the room in the corner, as she climbed into bed. Within minutes she was sound asleep.

Hours latter, the storm had turned around and had settled over the town. Jena at the same time was having a nightmare then as the lightning struck a tree over 20 paces from her window and the thunder sounded almost instantly. At the same time Jena quickly sat up with a start, and she was covered with sweat, her sweatshirt and sweatpants were half way soaked with sweat, as she was breathing heavily.

Wind and rain slammed against the roof, as lightning flashed and thunder rolled again. Jena slowly climbed out of bed as she looked at the rain slamming into the window. She walked over to the window and said, in a soft voice, "The news didn't say any thing about the storm hitting us!"

Jena wiped the condensation off the middle of the window and looked out at the trees bending in the strong winds. Jena jumped at another lightning bolt hit another tree near the house as the thunder sounded immediately. Jena placed her right hand on her chest and said, as she sighed and turned towards the door, "Damn it!"

She walked over to the door and opened it. She looked out into the dark hall way and walked down stairs, and into the kitchen as she walked over to and opened the refrigerator door. She pulled out a can of soda and opened it. As she raised the can and took a drink another lightning bolt and thunder hit again. This time Jena was ready for it, and closed her eyes.

All of a sudden a small dark shadow ran across the island counter and it knocked over a saltshaker. Jena jumped as she turned and flipped on the light over the stove. The shadow seemed to move very fast as it lightly brushed against Jena's leg

Jena jumped up onto the counter and looked down but there was nothing. The lightning struck again and thunder sounded as the family cat jumped up onto the counter. Jena let out a laugh and said, as she climbed off the counter, "Damn you smoky. Go get that mouse in the attic!"

The sound of rapid thunder claps softly sounding. Jena looked out the window to see three small lights appear over the bay approaching the house swiftly. Another light appeared from over the house to reveal a military helicopter that landed about 60 paces from the house. The helicopter hovered 2 feet above the ground as 6 dark figures jumped out and started running towards the house, then the helicopter quickly flew up. The helicopter turned and shined its spot light at the windows on the first floor. 2 of the 6 figures ran up to the door with one on each side of the door, holding strange looking riffles in front of them. Jena stepped back three steps as one of the two figures stepped in front of the door and kicked it in. Jena ran into the living room and she slid to a stop as the living room door was kicked in. Three solders, wearing wet camouflage suits and gas masks over their faces, came running in pointing their riffles at Jena. Jena quickly jumped to her feet and slid on the now wet floor as she started to run up the stairs.

One of the camouflaged men fired his riffle at Jena and nailed her in her left calf muscle with a tranquilizer dart. She ran into her room, As a woman in a camouflaged outfit came running in and grabbed the mans riffle as she jerked the riffle out of his hands and said, as she pulled off her gas mask, "Your orders are to pacify and contain! Now acquire the targets!" The other two men ran up the stairs.

Jena slammed her bedroom door closed and locked it, but as she turned around she started staggering. She staggered to the stairs of the widow's walk, and she crawled up the steps as her strength faded. She climbed up the steps and fell face first half way up the stairs.

All of a sudden the bedroom door was kicked in and a solder came running in. The solder ran up and rolled Jena over with her left arm behind her back. She was so weak that she could not move a muscle let alone blink her still eyes. The solder stood over Jena and said, as he pressed the side of his gas mask, "Target 3 acquired, ready for extraction!"

The solder took his gas mask off and said, as Jena was gasping in short labored breaths, "Too bad! You could have made a fine wife for some one!" the solder smiled as he chuckled and said, as Jena's sight faded, "But now we'll never know!" Jena then fell into unconsciousness.

Chapter Two

MEDIC

2005 3 Weeks Latter

Jena slowly awoke but when she opened her eyes, she quickly squeezed them closed. The pale green fluid that she was submerged in harshly burned her eyes. She tried to raise her weak arms but they bumped into the wall of the glass cylinder that surrounded her. A mask firmly covered her mouth and nose with wires and tubes coming from vital areas of her body that were attached to the ceiling of the cylinder. Within minutes she could slightly open her eyes as a series of lines held her two feet above the floor of the cylinder. She slowly turned her head to see 12 cylinders with a person in each one. She looked around the large room to see many men and women in lab coats with 12 solders standing on both sides of the 6 doors around the room with riffles in hand.

The scientist sitting at the control panel in front of the cylinder that Jena was in, pushed 3 buttons on the panel then stood and walked over to a man with a short beard and mustache as he said some thing to him. The man looked at him and nodded and said some thing as he motioned to 2 other scientists. The 2 walked over with the first man towards Jena's cylinder.

The third scientist walked over the 2 solders to Jena's right and said some thing to them. The two scientists started pushing buttons and flipping switches on the panel in front of Jena. A flashing light turned on over the cylinder as one scientist walked over to Jena's left and pushed a gurney into the side of the machine.

Jena placed her hands flat on the glass as the water started bubbling and the fluid level started to drop at a rapped rate. Jena slowly looked up as the fluid level dropped and she looked at the scientist at the panel as he looked at a monitor and wrote some thing on a piece of paper on a clipboard.

As the fluid fell and Jane squinted as the air touched her eyes from pain as the air stung them. As the fluid fell Jena was being held up in mid air by lines that connected to the top of the cylinder. Jena's hands fell limp to her sides as the fluid totally drained away and a strong gust of air came from the bottom inside of the cylinder.

The 2 scientists stood on both sides of the cylinder as the glass slid down into the floor, the gurney stood on the foot of itself as it slid back behind Jena. The 2 scientists started unhooking the tubs and wires from Jena's chest and back as one held Jena's ponytail to one side. The mask unhooked itself from Jena's face and was quickly pulled up into the top of the cylinder. The scientists started strapping the weak Jena to the gurney as they unhooked the lines that held her up. The scientist to Jena's left pushed and held a button in till the gurney was on all 6 wheels then he pulled his hand away from the button and the gurney was slowly pushed out from the machine. One of the scientists started pulling the gurney as the other pushed it over to a door off to the right of the cylinder, and turned down a hallway. They moved the gurney through many doors till they turned into a well-lit room. The 2 scientists pushed the gurney into the middle of the room and locked it to the floor. A man in surgical scrubs entered from another door and said, as he walked over to a rolling table with every thing a doctor would need for a lengthy and painful surgery, "You may leave I have this one!"

The 2 scientists looked at each other and the shorted of the two looked at the doctor and said, as the doctor walked over pulling the table over to the gurney, "But Doc the rules state." The scientist that protested looked at the doctor and said, in a confused voice as he licked his lips, "But Doctor smith it take at lest three surgical engineers for the installation of the implants!"

Doctor Smith picked up a tiny flashlight and said, as he shined the light into Jena's left eye as he held it open and looked deep into her eye, "Are you disobeying an order?" the two looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders as they walked out the door that they came in.

The Doctor looked at the door as he turned off the flashlight and whispered as he lowered his face over Jena's face, "You won't tell any one thing will yah? Not after I install the implant!"

Doctor Smith licked Jena's right cheek as he rubbed and squeezed Jena's left breast. Jena squeezed her eyes closed and started lightly crying, as Smith pulled his face away then started kissing her on the chin to neck as he sharply squeezed Jena's breast.

Jena now filled with pure fear as energy swelled up inside her. The strap holding Jena's right arm down seemed to loosen itself as Jena jerked her hand free and grabbed Smith's Growing and lifted him into the air as she squeezed it with all the strength she could muster. Doctor Smith had stopped what he was doing and started screaming in a very high-pitched squeal. She then threw him across the room then she tore the straps holding her head and torso down as she sat up and looked around the room full of anger. She ripped the straps holding her legs down. She tried to stand but collapsed to the floor with weak legs. Her anger grew so strong that she punched the floor and left a two- inch deep hole in the floor.

She looked at the floor as she slowly climbed to her feet and staggered towards the door but stopped as she looked at her reflection in the mirror on the wall. Jena reached up with her right hand and touched her now pale green face. She gasped as she pulled her hand away and looked at her two pale green hands.

Jena touched her face with both hands as she looked back at her reflection three solders came running in with riffles and pointed them at Jena as she dropped her hands to her sides. Doctor Smith pointed at Jena and yelled, in a squeaky voice, "Kill it! Kill it now!"

The solders took aim as one of the solders said, as he looked down at Smith who was holding his blood soaked growing, "But this one is for the Mother!"

Jena closed her eyes, as her anger grew stronger. Jena slowly lifted off the floor and her dark green hair flared out away from her. She loudly and sharply screamed as the solders and Doctor Smith covered their ears. Jena's scream was so loud that blood came from the eyes, ears and noses of the solders and Doctor Smith, even shattered the mirror and the glass to the X-ray light. She slowly settled to the floor and her hair fell around her shoulders as her scream faded.

She looked at the now dead bodies and quickly stepped over them. After entering the hallway she started to stagger and she felt lightheaded, as she leaned her left shoulder on the wall to collect her self. Two solders and one scientist came running around the corner and slowly approached Jena. The scientist walked up to Jena with a syringe with enough sedative to kill a small whale. Jena looked at the scientist in a daze as he stopped.

The scientist waited three seconds before approaching Jena. The scientist gently took Jena's right arm and started to push the needle into her arm but Jena grabbed the syringe and broke it as the scientist barely pulled his hand back in time. The scientist stepped back behind the solders as they raised and cocked their weapons at Jena. The floor started to shake under the solder, as the walls, floor and ceiling began to crack and crumbled around the solders, as Jena's hair flared out. All of a sudden the walls, floor and ceiling around the solders and scientist caved in to a big sphere of blood and gore with the crunching as bones snapped and the sound of sinew grinding, as blood sprayed from the sphere and fell into a pile of blood, stone and metal on the floor.

Jena began to float up off the floor and moved down the hallway over the bloody mass. She came to an intersection and looked down the three directions in front of her. From the room behind her, she hared the sound of glass braking. She slowly turned around and started floating towards the door. As she approached the door a man in a strange looking crimson outfit, came running out of another door with a cattle prod as he thrust it into Jena's left side. The shock seemed to anger her, as the man pulled it away from her and thrust it into her hip as another man and a woman stepped out of three other doors and started shocking Jena with their cattle prods. Jena arched back and fell to the floor unconscious as the first man knelt down beside Jena and checked her for a pulse. The man looked at the two and said, as they turned off their cattle prods and folded them in half and dropped it into holsters on their belts, "I have a pulse! Let's get her out of here!"

The woman reached into a pouch and pulled a triangle shaped pin strap out as she hooked it around Jena's upper left arm. The first man stepped back three steps as he pushed his belt buckle and said, as the others knelt down beside Jena, 'Three targets asking for teleportation?"

A voice said, from the man's earpiece, "Teleportation in 3, 2, and 1!" As the voice said 1 a small glimmering surrounded Jena and two of her attackers that seemed to glow brighter and brighter till the three where totally covered. Three seconds latter the light began to fade and the three had vanished from the hall. The sound of solders and their riffles came from around the corner. The man stepped back up into the shadows under a red light over an alarm box.

6 solders came around the corner with lights strapped to the ends of their riffles. They moved cautiously as they split up and they went down the halls. The man in the strange outfit stepped out of another shadow but was dressed in a solder's camouflaged dress. He watched the solders running down the halls, as he pulled a camouflaged hat off his belt and but it on his head as he laughed under his breath and ran down the hall the solders came from.

Chapter Three

Coming To Realize

2005 Late August

Jena had images of death, destruction and explosions all around her. Jena quickly jerked up off the examination table in a brightly lit room. She looked around and sighed as she closed her eyes.

The voices of two women talking came from outside the doors to Jena's left. Jena quickly threw the sheet that was covering her legs to the side and jumped off the table and ran over to the doors, as she listened to the women as one said, in a German accent, "I have never seen such mutations in one so young! It's as if MGW was trying to make super mutants of some kind!" The other woman said, with a hiss in her throat, "Could she be the one?" All of a sudden the sounds of a computer beeped three times and then a man's voice said, in a half electronic tone, "I do not believe so! But she is young and her true potentials may manifest them selves latter on!"

The woman with the hiss said, in a depressed voice, "What are we going to do with her? We cannot put her in stasis it might kill her!" the first woman said, as Jena pulled her head away but could still hear them, "We should teach her who and what happened to her as we try to help her, just like the others!"

A door on the other side of the room whooshed into the wall, as a young man with bright red hair walked in, Jena looked at him shocked as the door the women were in opened. Jena quickly jumped away from them as the first woman came in. The woman had green scaly skin and thick stock like hair with three bands around them every 4 inches. The other woman had blue skin and long deep blue hair half way covering her neck and shoulders. Jena backed way from them as they walked towards her. The woman with scaly skin said, as she held her hands in front of her in a passive manor, "Just calm down! We're not going to hurt you!"

Jena bumped into the table she was on as the young man retched out and touched Jena's Right shoulder. Jena jerked her shoulder from him as the man stepped around the table and said, as he held his hand up and halted the two women, "You're scaring her! Remember when you first got here?"
