I used Genki books for my first two years of Japanese and it made learning the language so much easier. The book is well organized and explains the language clearly for someone new to the language. Also, the accuracy of this book is wonderful as well. I was taught by a native Japanese who was born and raised in Japan, and she has chosen to use this book as her teaching tool for many years.
