Overview

Geotechnical Engineering treats the mechanics of soils and structures interacting with soils. Its primary aim is to reach undergraduate students, however, as it also discusses the more advanced aspects of soil behaviour, it will also appeal to graduate students. About the Author

Renato Lancellotta is Professor of Foundation Engineering at the Technical University of Turin (Italy). He is the author of Geotecnica (Zanichelli, Bologna, 1987 and 1993) and co-author of Prefabricated vertical drains: Performance and design (CIRIA, London, 1991).
