Can't review because I never received my order - so sorry book this is a review of B&N and their customer service or lack their of

I recently married and moved to Switzerland and so ordered this book to help me learn German.

I worked in customer service for three years, so I try hard not to an unpleasant customer. However, this company and their customer service are beyond bad.

I placed an order on the 8th of January (shipped on the 9th and supposed to be received in 7-21 days), and the company would not even look into my order until February 23rd. The first time I could contact the company in regard to my order was on February 9th (one business day after the promised 21 day shipping period). When I emailed them on the 9th, I was told I should not contact them until the 9th. Hmmm. Then when I pointed out the error, they said I had to wait until February 23rd until they would actually look into my order status. Still hadn’t received my order by the 23rd. I told them I expected them to reship my order with the fastest shipping method at their cost, because that is what Amazon does (except Amazon does not make a person wait almost two months to look into an order that has not been received). Their only response was that they would return the funds to my credit card and the gift card that I used. Why would I want to order anything from this company ever again? And what good is a gift card when it is not redeemable for goods and service (don’t live near a physical store), because the company fails to deliver (literally and figuratively) on its promised goods?

    Ridiculously bad.
