I got a pointer puppy recently because my pointer that i had for 15 years past away. This book was very helpful in training him. My dad is a trainer for pointers and this book helped me veey much.

I have two pointers and I love them deerly but some times they can be a pain in the butt. The book was helpful

As a first time dog owner, I found this book very helpful. It covers the basics of the breed, new home for puppy and basic training for house holds. There are also chapters on dog health and senior dogs. No field training here.
