as an adjunct instructor in philosophy, i find this to be a great addition to basic texts that are A: easy to "get a grip on" and B: inexpensive for junior philosophers. i would highly recommend it to any college student taking philosophy. Was this review helpful? Get a Grip on PHilosophy serves as an excellent introductory book to the captivating world of philosophy. If you are curious about philosophy, then this book will give you some background information, and will give you some experience of the illumination one feels through philosophy. I suggest you read it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I am taking a course in the Humanities and a lot of the things we've studied have dealt with Philosophy and Philosophers. I have found, and am still finding the book to be quite helpful in comprehending the ideas. The format can be a bit confusing at times, but all in all it's interesting and pretty user friendly! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
