Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

Geronimo Stilton has an embarrassing problem: The mayor has asked him to give a public driving demonstration, which would have been a welcome honor if our sometimes hapless hero hadn't let his license expire! Now with the big day fast approach, Geronimo is racing frantically to master the wonders of new millennium autos. Another laugh fest addition to a very popular series; a trade paperback and NOOK Book original. My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish Mo O'Hara St. Martin's Press, 9781250029195 HC Young Readers, $12.99 NOOK Book, 9781250042415, $8.81Frankie was once a happy little goldfish, circling his fishbowl with nary a worry in the world; but then an evil experiment and an improvised resuscitating attempt turn him into a very, very vengeful bag fat zombie goldfish. A perfect choice for fans of funny stories about aquatic pets gone wild.

From the Publisher

"Lightning pace and full-color design will hook kids in a flash." -- Publishers Weekly
Children's Literature - Lisa Colozza Cocca
Geronimo Stilton is one busy mouse. Along with being the editor of a major newspaper on Mouse Island, Geronimo is a best-selling author. In this addition to the Geronimo Stilton series, Geronimo is trying to produce a great idea for his next book while attempting to solve the mystery behind a jewel heist. On top of that, the mouse needs to get his driver's license, learn how to drive a new robotic car, and stop Carlotta Car, a despicable rodent, from using the new vehicle for evil. These separate threads weave together tightly to produce a humorous adventure story. The text is full of word play and idioms. The font is graphic, using numerous colors and font sizes and styles. There are a few double page illustration spreads and single page illustrations. Spot illustrations fill in the gaps. Some readers may have difficulty with the busy nature of the pages, but Geronimo Stilton fans will devour this book like mice on a well-aged cheese. Reviewer: Lisa Colozza Cocca

    Great Read

Bought a number of the Geronimo Stilton books for our 1st grader. I read them aloud and he loved them!! Good stories, little mystery, family relationships and just plain cute. Highly recommend.

I had thought that this book would be an engaging, fresh read.

I had thought that this book would be an engaging, fresh read.
Boy was I wrong. I am a ten-year-old girl and I thought this book was engaging, and fresh-sounding as slug eclairs.
The fonts were changed basically every three words, and the color and size were as well. There were too many illustrations,
and the main character was a klutzy, dull-witted, quite brain-dead mouse who runs a newspaper. He is a terrible person to run
any newspaper. He says, "My books are all bestsellers and whisker-licking good tales, and that's a promise!" well, obviously he was

wrong. Don't read. Do your children a favor and buy them something real. Thanks 66767
