Here are two books with a similar message to homeowners wanting to sell their residences. Lieberman and Hoffman start with the premise that selling a home requires the assistance of capable professionals, including a real estate agent, to get the job done right. The authors provide advice in a form that resembles a checklist of 392 items that the homeowner should cover in order to make a successful sale. A good combination of motivational and practical advice, this book reads well. The text is enhanced by helpful graphics but is hurt by a lack of index. How To Sell Your Home When Homes Aren't Selling offers similar advice, but Lerch leaves open the option of selling the home without a real estate agent. Fully one quarter of this book is taken up with helpful appendixes such as recommended clauses to be included in the sales contract, a glossary of real estate terms, and an amortization table.
