This is a great book that has concrete examples of what to do when your kid (fill in the blank). Whether it's as simple as sassy talk or as serious as substance abuse, Dr. Kastner has creative solutions. What's absolutely ground-breaking about this book, is that it works on your reaction to your child's behaviour - truly, the only thing you can control. When your attitude and response is in check, your tween/teen will react accordingly and set the stage for a much more tolerable adolescence. Most likely, the ride through the teen years won't be bump-free, but with this book, at least you'll survive without too many bruises.

Great book with helpful tips. I'd also recommend that you buy "When God Stopped Keeping Score," an intimate look at the power of God and forgiveness. It's on sale here on BN. There is a story about a mother, a daughter and a rock and the father, the son and a bible in there that are worth the price of that book alone. It too will change your life.
