    Live the life without repercussions

    'Consistent and Concise.'

    Craig Castlman's book 'Getting Up.' is a 'gritty,no nonsense' look at the beginning of an underground art movement with as many levels to it as the New York City subway itself. It's an invitation 'back in the days' to a writers conclave when writers had declared 'open season' on the subway system and graffiti was done in it's purest form on it's original surface. The writers painted under pressure and met many obstacles which went hand in hand just as the spraycan and marker the writers themselves wielded.

    A Must Get

    This is one of my favorite graffiti books I own. I get so involved in it. The interviews are great, the writing is awsome, pics are a must see. All my buddies have this book and it is their favorite, next to the Art of Getting Over.
