Overview

Is Jessy alive or dead? She can't tell because no one notices her, until a handsome, ghostly boy speaks to her in the middle of C Hall. "You've got ghost brain," he explains, and he claims that makes her invisible. To move beyond that ghost zone into a world where she is seen, Jessy must solve the mystery of who this boy really is and why she's afflicted with this strange ability.

Set against the backdrop of a high school performance of Shakespeare's Macbeth, this is a story which draws the guilt and tragedy of that play into the life of a not-so-ordinary teen. She has so many questions to answer: Why does she feel so antagonistic towards herself?; Is she as conflicted as Lady Macbeth?; Who is the ghost that tries to haunt her? These questions lead her to the cauldron of her past and it is only by peering into it that she can hope for healing.
