I heard this when I was around 10-11 years old and it was my favorite book as a kid. I just found this one and the sequel in my attic. Can't wait until my daughter is old enough to read them herself.

    A Very Picturistic Book

If you like horses then I'm pretty sure you'll like this book. I have read this book so many times. Infact, I read it yesterday for the 3rd time. It makes you feel like you are a part of Callie and you can see what is happening because she describes it in just the right way so that it's not boring but it seems like your watching a movie. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like I am a part of the book. It's amazing to me how somebody can do that.
