    Need more information in description.

I had no idea this was a "prequel" since I don't pay attention to the covers of books. Since I couldn't hold this book in my hand, I also didn't know how long it was. I was VERY disappointed to find I had just paid $2.99 for a 30 page "book". I was also more miffed that it was $.50 MORE than the Kindle price.

I would like very much if the description of the book, or the overview, would indicate how long the book is either in digital pages or in file size. Although file size doesn't really mean anything since the nook file size is almost twice the size of the Kindle file size.

    Too short...not worth the price!!

Was hoping for a little more story, way too short. Should have been 99cents, feel a little cheated!

    That was it?

I opened this for the first time on my Nook seeing that it was only 30 pages long, and after reading it, felt like I must have had an error when downloading because certainly that couldn't be the whole thing. As the other reviewers have said, nowhere in the description did I see that it was so short and hardly worth reading. There was just enough plot development for me to think my copy ended too soon. When I think of a prequel, I think of a storyline BEFORE the main storyline but still something that can stand on its own. What IS there did keep me interested, so I guess I'll have to read the trilogy since I was definitely left hanging.

Don't waste your time or money

No character or plot development to speak of, this novella is less than 29 pages long. It includes an additional 10 pages at the end which are a preview of the first book of the trilogy. It may explain how characters became ghosts in the trilogy for which it is a prequel, but it does nothing to engage the readers' interest in the characters or their plights because of the superficiality and lack of originality of this short story. On the off chance that this introduction would interest me in reading the trilogy, I checked others' reviews for it. I'll pass.

Not necessary, but it does complete the series.

Sorta short. I was hoping for a longer story, but it does explain Bartholomew's past and how he came to haunt Key West, also his association with the Beckett family.
