Another wonderful offering from storyteller Angie Fox. This lastest tale is a lark through the supernatural and the holidays. Reluctant ghost hunter Verity Long and her ghostly sidekick Frankie the deceased gangster need to go undercover at Verity's ex fiance's family Christmas to solve another ghostly mystery and help a distressed ghost. A rollicking holiday tale filled with ghosts, mystery solving and hor 'd oeuvres. A must read for Angie Fox fans.

If you love the Demon Slayer series by Angie Fox, then you will love this series. While you do not have to read all of the books in order, it does help and it is alot of fun - definitely worth it. I received an ARC copy of this book to review. It is such a sweet, funny, and charming tale - just perfect for a holiday or quick read. It makes the heart smile all while Verity takes you on another ghost filled, quirky, fun filled ride through a holiday party filled with the living and non-living Southern folk in a big ole Southern mansion. I really enjoyed this book.

This is a short christmas story about Verity and Frankie helping out a friend. It starts out as a simple mission to get a necklace back and ends up a bigger mission to reunite a mother and son. This was a heartwarming story with great humor and is a very good addition to the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries. It was quick to read and left me anticipating the next book.

Treat yourself to a wonderful little holiday tidbit from the Southern Ghost Hunter Series. Author Angie Fox has served up an entertaining tale for a quick read by bringing back Verity Long, everyone's favorite communicator with the recently, and not so recently departed. Along with the help of her '20s gangster sidekick, Frankie, Verity is enlisted by Civil War veteran Matthew Jackson to retrieve a very special memento from his family home. The characters from this series are quickly becoming familiar old friends, and this sweet story, centered around the holiday season, is the perfect length for a soak in the tub or to curl up with under an afghan on your sofa. Do something nice for yourself, or introduce a friend to the fun, entertaining, engaging stories in this colorful series.

Take a chance on a little Christmasy ghostly love story. You will enjoy how Verity and Frankie get themselves into and out of trouble. Life will never be the same for Verity so she is learning how to make the best of her ghostly skills and make death better for some of her friends. Take the time to read this story and I know that you will come to love these characters as much as I have.

Heartwarming This novella finds the main character Verity in yet another sticky situation. As the towns resident “Ghost Whisperer”, she is called upon by a ghost she befriended previously, Major Matthew Jackson of the Union Army, to retrieve something from his mother to give to his girlfriend Josephine. It is of great importance that he has this object but due to previous family problems he is unable to obtain it on his own. If Verity is involved nothing can ever be straight forward and easy. She has the ability with the help of her ghost shadow Frankie the German to get into all kinds of interesting situations and this time is no different. Set during the holidays she sees her opportunity to help Matthew when her friend Lauralee is hired to cater a Christmas party at Matthew’s child hood home. I laughed out loud at some of Verity’s antics. I have loved this series from the very first book and look forward to reading many more adventures of Verity. Be sure to grab a copy now and get to know Verity and the rest of the gang.

Verity Long has a ghost that lives with her named Frankie. Frankie is a gangster and he is not there by choice. Verity is baking cookies and someone knocks on the door. She thinks it is her sister, Melody, but is surprised to find another ghost. Major Matthew Jackson of the Union Army needs Verity to get a necklace from his Mother so he can give it to Josephine. He can't go in his Mother's house because she threw him out. Verity agrees to get the necklace and runs into a host of problems. Angie Fox writes heartwarming stories with a good dose of humor. Her characters are lovable, personable and real. The minute the book ends I am searching for another of her books to read!

Southern Spirits is one of my favorite Angie Fox novels. So what a perfect Christmas present from Angie, to have this marvelous short Christmas story. Verity may have little in the way of material objects, but her heart is rich, and she is determined to make this one special Christmas for ghosts Matthew and Josephine. Together with her ever cranky ghost guest Franky, they ... well read this delightful story and try not to cry with happiness.

Another fun mini adventure with Verity and Frankie! Verity's heart shines through again, letting us all see how simple it can be to help a friend... even if he is dead.

I just love the Southern Ghost Hunter series. Verity can talk to ghosts and sometimes she can get a peek into their ghostly world, thanks to Frankie a long dead gangster that is stuck on her property. Verity is getting ready for the holidays when a ghostly friend Matthew asks for a favor. Verity agrees to help and together she and Frankie just might make a Christmas wish come true! If you have not read the Southern Mystery series I highly suggest you run out and get them all! They are a fun read and you will love the characters. The only thing this story was missing was Verity's adorable pet skunk Lucy!

**I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.** ------------------------------------- A quick, fun read that expands on Matthew & Josephine's story. Verity & Frankie undertake a mission to help Matthew, and almost manage to lose Frankie's urn! Full of the quick, fun wit and sarcasm that I've come to expect from Angie's characters this novella is not a disappointment!

Ghost of a Chance by Angie Fox The Christmas spirit prevails in a lively adventure in this recent installment in the Southern Ghost Series. Fanciful cookie baking begins the novella as the mystery begins with the search for the perfect Christmas present for two shy ghosts. The writer engages the reader during the event of when a Christmas party is headed for disaster due to ghostly happenings. This is a fast-paced fun novella with down to earth characters who tug at the reader’s emotions. I received an ARC for review. I would highly recommend this novella in this well written intriguing series.

Absolutely love these books. This short story should be read after the others in the series - Southern Spirits and The Skeleton in the Closet - if possible. Verity and Frankie are back and have been asked to help Major Jackson recover a family heirloom necklace to be given to his fiance. Don't want to give too much away - but it's a great story with a happy ending for all involved!

I love this series! Verity is the girl everyone wants to root for!! Once again she's giving her all to help out a ghostly friend, with her spirit sidekick Frankie as her partner in crime. I thought this short story was a delightful continuation of The Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries and a perfect holiday feel good novella!

Verity Long sees ghosts. Not only sees them, but talks with them with the help of her gangster ghost hunter..who is also a ghost. This story is another "chapter" in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries. And was just a good as the others. Verity agrees to help a "friend" find a special something for his loved one. It takes her to a Christmas party that has no idea that the past is also having a gathering. Great writing and a wonderful story! It made me smile and have all the good feels!

This was such a good book! It tells the story of a ghost that needs Verity's help finding an opal necklace to propose to his ghostly love but she has to face the anger and sadness of his mother (who is also a ghost) to get the necklace from her! Another great read!!!

I loved this short story! Verity and Frankie are two of my favorite characters. It is Christmas and Verity is helping Major Jackson get a necklace from his mother. His mother is upset still over his death. Verity works some magic and there is a wonderful happy ending!

loved this sweet and short story. Verity is asked to help Matthew,a ghost from last book. She needs Frankie's help to "cross over" as you all know Frankie isn't always the most cooperative of spirits. Hilarity and tears ensue. Very short but sweet read for over the busy holidays.
