Overview

On this leg of the journey you'll explore the scariest spots in the Wolverine State. Author Helen Pattskyn visits 30 haunted places, all of which are open to the public-so you can test your own ghosthunting skills, if you dare.

Join Helen as she explores each site, snooping around eerie rooms and dark corners, talking to people who swear to their paranormal experiences, and giving you a firsthand account. You'll go to:

The Historic Holly Hotel-the single most haunted building in the state of Michigan.

The Sweet Dreams Inn-where guests who stay in the Peacock Room don't experience sweet dreams, but instead hear the incessant pacing of the ghost of William Wallace as he mourns the passing of his wife.

Seul Choix Point Lighthouse-where you can encounter the ghost of Captain Townsend, who died in the lighthouse in 1910. It seems that even in death, he enjoys a good cigar.

The Regent Theatre-where cold spots and a generally eerie feeling are felt throughout this Art Deco-style building.

Enjoying Ghosthunting Michigan from the study of your armchair or hit the road using the maps, "Haunted Places" travel guide, and "Ghostly Resources". You'll also find a list of 49 more great ghostly spots to visit. Buckle up and get ready for the spookiest ride of your life.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"In Ghosthunting Michigan Pattskyn relates tales from 30 haunted sites in Michigan, including the Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oak and Camp Ticonderoga restaurant in Troy. She uses a conversational style, with plenty of asides about food and traveling, as she recounts stories told about the various haunts." - Joe Ballor, The Daily Tribune
