High school has never been effortless for social misfit Juice Zander and her sophomore year is proving to be no exception. Having a new boy in homeroom actually pay attention to her might be a start to all that changing. But there are some big issues brewing. That fact that Shane Elliot has revealed himself to be a ghost isn't her biggest problem. Neither is the fact that he wants her to help him find a "host body" so he can be a real teenager again. It's not even that when she does find a possible donor for her supercute ghost, it's another so-not-ugly guy who for some unprecedented reason likes her. No, her real problem is that after years of platonic friendship, she discovers one of her best buddies has feelings for her, and she's afraid those feelings might be mutual.

Enlisting the help of her tight group of best friends, Juice sets out to 1) find the perfect host for her ghost, 2) figure out her surprising new relationship with her longtime friend and 3) maybe discover she's not such a social misfit after all.

Meet the Author

Samantha lives in Southern California with her husband and two beautiful children. When she's not writing, she reads anything she can get her hands on, enjoys the Food Network Channel, and her guilty pleasure is most reality television. She is fascinated by blogs, has recently conquered her fear of both Facebook and Twitter, and if there was a flood, she would grab her laptop first and her slippers second. She loves to write paranormal romance (mostly because there is nothing paranormal about her life at all!) and she has just contracted the sequel to Spellbound. This is her second YA paranormal romance for Astraea Press, and she has many more in the works. She also has a completed horror novella on submission. She is closer than ever to calling herself a full-time writer and the idea is both frightening and amazing.

I loved this book its romantic cute confusing and its awesome! Juicethinks shes a nobody but really is even if she doesn't want to be. She comes into class one day and sees this hot guy named Shane, then figures out he's a ghost. Then she meets a guy named Mason at the Battles of the band concert. There are 4 people in Juices group including her Sixx ( girl), Jett ( boy), Creepshow ( boy), and her. ( thats not their real names). And finally Creepshow cofesses his love to her. Who will she choose the ghost, concert boy, or her best friend. You'll have to read it to beilive it. I'm thirteen and I love it. I told my cousin who loves to read to read it and she couldn't put it down. There is nothing bad in this book so little kids can read it. If you don't read it then you would have made a mustake. And plus it's free so why not. It has every girls fairy tale in it. Boys fighting over you, falling love, well falling in love with your hot best friend. Who wouldnt want that? I would want that. This book made me go into my own little world! I hope she'll make another one fast. Well til the next one bye and hope you enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I should not like this book, yet I cannot help but love it.This author wrote in a style I myself am not familiar with, a relatable one. I'm fourteen and read a lot if YA books that simply don't create realistic convorsations. She wanted the book to be for teens about teens and she did a wonderous job. WHEN SHE HAS MORE BOOKS ON HERE I WONT HESSITATE TO BUY! Thank you for reading my review and let me tell you "Ghostly" is a twisting story line and has a way with words that you NEED on your shelf. :) I appologize if anything in this review is gramatically incorrect or spelled wrong. I'm typing on a nook which proves to be quite tedious.

I need to thank the author & Books4Tomorrow for giving me a copy of the book to read for a review! Let's talk about ghosts... do you believe??? *think of spooky music and scary laughter in the background* HA ok, with that... this has to be one of the cutest stories ever! It's just precious. Now, it's a YA paranormal (kinda) romance, but I would definitely say it's great for younger, young adults. I think the early teenage years will fit perfect into this reading frame... with that said, I'm in my later 20's and still loved it. It's great, clean, fresh, wholesome fun. The misfit group of high school sophmore class is on a mission to find a body for a ghost who appears to the main character Juice. Her real name is Lucy, but she so fits Juice :) Her friends Sixx, Jett, & Creepshow are gunna help her no matter what! (Can I just say I LOVE THE NICKNAMES) and their reasons for being given had me giggling!) Shane (said ghost) appears to Juice one day in class and she promises to help him right away. The journey for this promise is so much fun. It's a great story that helps you learn that it's ok to be who you are, and you think worse of yourself than most others do! Even outcasts and loners need someone, and this group is the perfect friendship! The writing is done really well. It's a quick read. It's a whole lot of fun... & you know there is always a twist... the end had me in fluster-mode :) so all in all, I think you should read this one. :)

I found this to be really quick at the beginning because Shane was so straight forward to Juice about what he was and how he wanted her to help him. All the main characters seemed to be outcasts and popular at the same time, because of the fact that Juice was naturally gorgeous, Jett and Creepshow are totally sufer hotties, and Six is sexy and outgoing. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed all 119 pages of this book and happy about the way it ended even though it zoomed by at the speed of light.

This is a good YA book about male/female relationships without sex, drugs and violence. Juice is faced with having 3 boys like her at one time. The girl, who has never had a boyfriend is her life enjoys the popularity but quickly realizes that she must make a decision and she doesn't want to hurt anyone feelings. Does she chose the boy at the concert, her male best friend or the ghost who needs a host body to walk among the living again? Her life "is starting to feel like a cheesy afterschool TV show except for the part about my friend who's a ghost!" I enjoyed following Juice and her close friends as they lead me on their adventures and the ending was not what I expected. The relationships in the book were very realistic (except for the ghost)and I thought the choice of characters was fantastic. A great book.

So I bought this book, thinking it would be interesting since I am a believer of spirits and romance books are always cute. The beginning was pretty good, the characters seemed like they had depth, I liked the protaginist, and the story seemed good. Then in the middle my opinion changed, Juice started to get annoying and just the plot seemed to drag on. At the ending I was unimpressed, of course, Juice (whom I had thought was a bit of a mousy girl) had suddently bloomed, had 3 handsome guys falling for her, and her awkward life was suddently peachy, just like that! The ending was SUPER predictable in my opinion, and everyone lives happily ever after, the end. I would not advise anyone to read this book unless you're into cliche romance books that are less than 150 pages... Thumbs down for Ghostly
