"Beautiful" is warm, evocative banjo-tinged pop, while "You're the Only Girl" has a soulful vocal line and a lilting, Paul McCartney-esque shuffle. Hushed in their presentation, Geary's ballads and subtle rock songs -- like the thumping, edgy title cut -- come directly from the heart. Marky strikes again!

Here we see Mark building on the sound he laid the groundwork for in 331/3. This album is a little more upbeat, with a strong production by the Odlum brothers in their home in Dublin. Mark calls in some favors from friends Glen Hansard (of The Frames) and Josh Ritter who sing on a few tracks.
