This tale follows Gidget the poodle as she is moved from her home in Costa Rica to a new life in Florida. She must make all new friends and learn a new language which at first does not make her very happy. Expecting the simplicity of a children's book, I was surprised to discover a rather complex plot that expanded the reading audience. The author did a good job introducing the new characters and weaving the story back around to cover characters roles in the story. Of course characters like ChaCha, Slip and Slick were still there to entertain the younger population. Overall, a very pleasant read. A feel good save the day story with appropriate dialogue and scenery for the whole family.

This book is so heart-warming. The moral to the story is one every child needs to know. Susan's wording is so easy to understand, and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. I laughed and cried, it was extremely enjoyable!!!
