Nicholas A. Rose is the author of the Ilvenworld novels. He enjoys everything to do with the sea, the outdoors and the mountains, which he finds inspirational. Imagination

I was not familiar with this author and had little discription about what the book was about. The story was easy to follow. Each chapter has a title. The book starts off with a sick child named Sallis and a man named Evallon who comes to heal him. Unknowlingly Sallis is also gifted and becomes Evallon's apprentice. He learns how to use his many gifts and is taught anout the three races: human, ilven and slyph. They live on the island of Re Ann. There is a lot of imagination. I wanted more from the ending. The author has included a chapter from one of his other books.

Grade A. Was short only 195 pages. Well worth it. A great and enticing intro into a unique fantasy world. The characters are brought not just to life, but also as your friend. You feel for the young boy. One of the best novella's i have read in years. Cant wait to read more.

    Nice story

I truely enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more in this series. Although this was a short story or novella the character development and world building was complete and didn't feel rushed. This is somewhat of a twist on magic and was nicely done. I look forward to the adventures of the apprentice.

    A decent short story.

To call, it a book is a bit of a joke. However it was well written and left me wanting more.

    Two thumbs up!

Definitely worth reading. I wish it was longer and less abrupt. The twist with the gift was good!

    Highly Recommended

I read both the books by Nicholas A. Rose “Gifted Apprentice” and then “Gifted Hunter”. I enjoyed both the books very much and recommended to others who also enjoyed reading them. They were fun and interesting to read. I finished reading wanting to know more about how his life would develop. I also appreciated that it is a book that could be recommended to younger readers as well. Loved both of them!!

    Bad ending!

I was so into the story that my mouth dropped open when i realized the story had ended as it had. The body was so well written that it seemed as though the ending was forced. It could have been so much better.
