    Can't put it down

I read this book in one sitting. Excellent blend of true history coupled with drama, romance and suspense. Something for everyone. This book leaves room for a sequel. This story would make a good mini-series.

    Very Enjoyable Reading

Historical fiction at its best. Beginning with the excitement of New Mexico becoming a state, Mardee's captivating personality will draw you into her adventures and her loves, with an ambition beyond the times. I couldn't put the book down.

History, Romance, Adventure - It's All Here!

This is an easy reading, enjoyable, adventurous story about a girl growing up during New Mexico's early statehood era. Mardee is a very likable and enjoyable character and someone to be admired. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I hope the author writes a sequel.
