Girl Steals Guy is the second installment in the Borrowing Abby Grace series. I enjoyed it just as much or maybe a little more than the first one. The author has a way of keeping you hooked and guessing until the end. In this one Abby finds herself in Michelle's body and life. She thinks she must reunite her best friend Heather and her boyfriend Sam. At first I had the same thoughts as Abby/Michelle that Sam is just a jerk quarterback football player. But as the story went on I came to realize that things are not always what they seem. Every time I thought I knew what Abby's real mission was the author put a new twist and the story changed again. I did not see the ending coming and what the real reason Abby was there for. I really am enjoying this series and they are so quick to read. I loved that Abby got rewarded with a memory from her real life. I hope to get more background on Abby and Will in future installments. I am looking forward to reading more stories from this author.

This second installment in the Abby Grace series was as entertaining and intriguing as the first (find my review here). Abby is a Shadow and as such becomes someone else in order to help them solve life problem. Her instructions to "reunite the lovers" seem obvious, but over time she discovers that her first thoughts might have been wrong. I enjoyed getting to know Will (Abby's Guardian who helps her navigate her missions) a little more in this installment. We see a friendship start to develop between Abby and Will as Abby tries to navigate the High School party scene. The content was a little darker and edgier this time around, which at times made me a little uncomfortable, but all in all I enjoyed following Abby Grace in her attempts to fix the lives of others (and possibly her own). This ebook is a quick read, but doesn't feel too short. You can easily read it in an afternoon, so it is the perfect weekend read. Content: some language, high school students discussing sexual activity and drinking in a party scene, homosexuality.

Abby found out in Episode One that she is a Shade. A Shade is someone who inhabits other people's bodies in order to help them solve a problem. She does this with the help of her Guardian, Will. After Abby has successfully completed her last mission, she wonders what will happen to her. Is she just "out there" or will she have a new mission. This is figured out when she finds herself in a bedroom with a crying girl. Again, she knows nothing of who she "borrowed" or who the crying girl on the bed is. She soon finds out that she is Michelle and the girl is Heather, her best friend. This time, Will tells her what her mission is, so she doesn't have to figure that out for herself. She is supposed to reunite the lovers. That shouldn't be so hard. Heather was crying because she recently broke up with Sam. Sam is now dating Cecilia. So, Sam and Heather must be the lovers she needs to reunite. Just because she knows her mission this time around, doesn't make figuring it out any easier. I Like: ? Again, I like the cover. It reminds us that even though Abby is taking over someone, she is still herself with her own personality. ? Will. I say it again. I like his character. You see a little more development in this episode than the last. But, he has yet to shine. ? The whole idea of Abby being a Shade and what they represent. I like the mystery of the series. ? Again, Abby is not always right. I Did Not Like: ? PDA. I just don't like it and I think it is unnecessary. ? There was one point in this story that I wasn't too keen on. I cannot share this with you without spoiling the book. I will say that it, in no way, hindered or affected the outcome. It was just a side note and a pet peeve of mine.
