Divided into sections on body, mind and spirit, the author urges readers to regain balance and awareness in their lives: "A breakup is a signal from the Universe that it's time for you to concentrate on you." KLIATT
This is part of the Girlosophy series of beautifully illustrated compact books filled with quotations and advice that will empower any reader with good information. This one focuses on recovering from breakups, and it can be supportive for any kind of relationship. It emphasizes using exercise and meditation, without resorting to drugs, to avoid constant moods of sadness. It is comforting for those who don't have anyone to talk to. It stresses the point that the breakup isn't a result of something you did wrong, but just an inevitable reaction to events that happen for a reason. It has a new-age feel and doesn't mention religion. The author does a great job of giving the reader hope and the ability to dream. KLIATT Codes: SA—Recommended for senior high school students, advanced students, and adults. 2004, Allen & Unwin, 223p. illus., Ages 15 to adult.
