Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Sue Preslar
This is the first novel in the "Girls to the Rescue" adventure series. Thirteen-year-old Maid Marian and young Robin of Loxley (the future Robin Hood), save the day by exposing the greed of the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. By focusing mainly on the heroic deeds of Marian, young girls can experience vicariously her courage just as young boys have always enjoyed Robin Hood. Marion deals with wolves, thieves, and King Richard in an equally noble manner.

wish there were more titles like this

Very delighted with my daughter's response to this charming little ebook -- she read it avidly and with great enjoyment. Would love to see more full-length "Girls to the Rescue" books featuring well-known female characters from literature or history (far as I can tell, the other books in the series are collections of original short stories.)

    The Adventures of Maid Marian

This was a nice side step from the original Robin Hood. Based when Robin and Maid Marian are younger. Maid Marian his doing her best to help Sherwood Forest from the Sheriff who is taxing the people excessively. This story is for younger girls and about how young girls can be heros too!

He is honest, and she is 16. Why would you lie when you are in danger? Any way, i disagree and say this book is awesome.
