A single-disc, 25-track collection of the first and second waves of British punk, Give It Some Punk doesn't necessarily feature the best-known versions of the songs present -- some are live versions used due to licensing restrictions -- but it does hit a lot of the best-known groups except most obviously for the Clash. In addition to the Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Adverts, Eddie & the Hotrods, Wire, X Ray Spex, the Stranglers, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, and the Damned, there's also a generous selection of material from the very early '80s, when London punk was beginning to transform into Oi! and hardcore; some of these groups include Slaughter and the Dogs, Sham...
