Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Carlee Hallman
Cheerful bears, deer, foxes, chipmunks, hounds, kittens, and raccoons give thanks in rhyme for simple pleasures which children experience. Bears give thanks for new crayons and for times when wishes come true. Foxes give thanks for: "The thrill when you're lifted Way up in the air." Under a picture of a chipmunk in a rocking chair with his feet up on cushions and by the fire, it says: "Give thanks for the light in our home after dark." A hound dog lies in a dog bed with five puppies around her. The text beneath reads: "For getting together With people you love." Raccoons give thanks for the pleasure of holding hands and saying "I love you." The colored pictures illustrate love and friendship. This paperback book has stickers at the back which reproduce some parts of the pictures. Young children will enjoy hearing these rhymed verses and seeing the animal friends. Reviewer: Carlee Hallman
