This book is very easy to read and understand for even the novice dog owners. I switched my dog to this diet from a 'premium' dog food and she is so much healthier now. Her teeth are clean, she sheds less, her coat is shinnier, she is more muscular, active, lean and not fat, has clean ears and her artritic hips are less painfull. Highly recomended!

After reading and implementing 'Fit For Life' by the Diamonds, I have enjoyed the healthiest period of my life. I was eager to find information on how to feed my dog based on the same principles. 'Give Your Dog A Bone' was recommended by several people and I understand why. This is a light-hearted commonsense guide to feeding your carnivorous family member a natural diet. Thanks to Dr. Billinghurst, I have a happy, healthy, energetic dog. My dog does not have 'dog breath' or that doggie smell to her shiny coat. Not only is this 'diet' better for her, but it's very easy on the wallet. And it doesn't require much effort. Suggested subtitle: 'The Cheap and Lazy Person's Guide to Feeding Your Dog.'

If you already feed raw, but want to get away from commercial brands this book makes it easy. It's also easy to follow for people who have not previously fed raw. If you're a more veteran raw feeder skip straight to chapter 18 for everything you need to learn.
