Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
"The GL diet has been instrumental in helping me get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. It's more than a diet though and has just become a way of life. I've got so much energy and don't have any of those food cravings I'd always associated with diets and healthy eating - I love it!"
— Mishal Husain, News Anchor, BBC World News.

    GL Diet

I have been overweight forever and had all but given up after trying every diet book their is. I have not only lost 16 pounds in 2 months but my health has improved massively. I have energy now and enthusiasm for life whereas before everything was a struggle. It is so easy and practical with no expensive weird ingredients to buy just good wholesome basics. Try it you won't be disappointed. It is also the first diet book I have bought that has a friendly inclusive tone, instead of the usual preachy, moral high ground attitude you get with most diet authors. Give it a go if all else has failed you will be pleasantly surprised. 10 stars outof 5!

    GL Diet

This seems to be the next stage on from GI as GL or glycaemic load takes into account the carb content as well as the GI of foods -it is also based on portion sizes we actually eat which GI isn't. I have found that I hav lost weight (26 pounds down 4 to go!) on The GL diet easily and consistently without feeling at all deprived - whereas with GI diets I have stayed the same or lost and put it straight back on. The GL Diet has certainly regulated my appetite and I don't get carb and sugar cravings at all now which is bliss! You can throw out Atkins, South Beach and GI - this one is a keeper.
