    Amazing Soundtrack!

    This soundtrack is one of the best you will ever hear. Listening to it makes you want to watch Gladiator all over again. The music brings you right back to the time and place. A great buy. Recommended! Also bought the 2nd cd of Gladiator with sound clips from the movie.

    A true masterpiece

    It's all in the title! This one is a beauty and deserves an honoured place in the halls of the greatest epic soundtracks of all time. Or something like that!

    i have no words to appriciate these soundtracks...they are THE BEST i've ever heard...whoever is thinking to buy this, dont think any more...just get it and enjoy...i bet you'll like it as much as i do

    LOSE A FEW HORNS?? ARE YOU NUTS??

    Oh my gosh, the horns and trumpets are what make this soundtrack so awesome! I wore my CD out. It won't play at all anymore and I am going to buy a new one. So nyah!

    Much is missing..... why?

    Maybe some of the captivating themes from the movie are missing so you will buy vol. 2. I find this disgusting. Remember the arabian style music before his first gladiator gig? NOT HERE! Also the main Battle music is clearly ripped off from Gustav Holst's The Planets (MARS the bringer of War) Also the battle music seems overlay equalized and to rephrase the king in Amadeus, TOO FAT, just cut a few horns and it will be perfect.

    Wicked...

    ....i abesolutley loved this soundtrack, the music makes you want to watch the movie over and over again. It's really awesome i've listened to it everynight for the past 5 months and i am not yet sick of it i dont think i ever will be.

    Gladiator: The best movie Soundtrack you can buy

    This cd is full of orchestral music that can calm you but can also get your blood running. I love all kinds of music, but this is turning into the number one cd that I listen to.

    You haven't heard anything like this before!

    From the rousingly energetic ''The Battle'' and ''The Barbarian Horde'' to the eerily emotional ''Am I Not Merciful?'', Hans Zimmer has written a score that cannot be surpassed. The music underpins this fantastic movie, but it stands on its own merits as a crowning achievement. Enjoy it now, and enjoy it later, because this one will endure!

    Heartrending

    Excellent mood music for an excellent film. However, even if You haven't seen the film (what Planet are You from?), the different treatments of the theme in ''Elysium'', ''Honor Him'', and ''Now We Are Free'' should fill Your eyes with tears and Your heart with pain. If not, then You are NOT of this Earth.... Hans Zimmer's music and Lisa Gerrard's vocals create an emotional tour de force. Too bad there are only 5 stars.

    **Incredible** soundtrack!

    This soundtrack is by far the best I've heard, and quickly has become my favorite CD - you never get tired of listening to it! Zimmer does an amazing job of capturing the feeling behing the scenes of the movie. Favorites include The Battle, The Might of Rome, Barbarian Horde, and Now We Are Free, but there isn't a single track I don't fully enjoy. I definitely recommend purchasing this soundtrack, especially for those who have watched the movie, which is great as well.

    What a Wonderful Score!

    This is a great CD. It is a true score: there are no breaks between songs. As you listen you can visualize the scenes from the film. Some tracks are relatively short, about one minute; and some are long such as ''The Battle,'' which was about ten minutes. It encompasses all of the battles in the film, and if you listen closely you can actually hear the waltz-like meter. Although all the tracks are evocative, ''The Battle,'' ''Honor Him,'' and ''Now We are Free'' can give you goosebumps. These are, in no particular order, the best tracks on the album in my opinion. The CD runs about 61 minutues, and is well worth the money. It is thoroughly enjoyable time and again.

    A Marvel in Music

    This CD is wonderful although I was a little disappointed that one of the songs in the movie was not on this soundtrack but other than that the CD is filled with songs that captivated and inspired me. The music is as entertaining as the movie. If you like movie soundtracks than you will definitely love this.

    Great Soundtrack!

    The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because there's not quite enough good music. But it still is a very good soundtrack. Let me make note of tracks The Battle, Barbarian Horde, and of course Honor Him, which is very beautiful. A very good score.

    Tremendous Accomplishment

    What wonderful music to a wondrous picture. I saw this movie many times in the theater and the music grabbed my spirit and stirred my heart. Great movies are always marked by a tremendous score. Take for instance, Titanic, Braveheart, Forrest Gump, and The Thin Red Line. All strong movies that had a score that ranged from somber to exciting to uplifting and spiritual. The titles ''Earth'', ''Strength and Honor'', ''I will see you again'' are all wonderful in their own way. Pretty much the whole CD. I applaud that Hans Zimmer, he made the movie for me. He is masterful at capturing the essence of a strong film. Lisa Gerrard also wonderful with her strong voice.

    In a word... beautiful.

    This soundtrack was exquisite. The emotions of the movie scenes are expressed in poignant detail in the notes Zimmer's songs. I recommend it to anyone.

    HAUNTING

    it is beautiful and haunting, the kind of track that stays with you for hours after you listen to it. you close your eyes and you are on the hillside of rome.

    What we do in life echoes in eternity.

    I think gladiator is one of the best action (drama) movies I have ever seen. I have seen him 8 times and I am still touched by the fantastic music and the fabulous acting prestations of Russell Crowe.

    GREAT CD!!!!

    I really like this cd. I have been buying movie score cds for a long time now and I would have to say that this is one of the best ones that I own! Great Job Mr. Zimmer!!!! I think that this cd is worth 10 stars!
