Sci-Fi Weekly

Gladiator is a brave novel that unflinchingly portrays people at their ugliest and pettiest, all the while reflecting on the better worlds that could be were it not for humanity’s relentless failings.”—Claude Lalumière, Sci-Fi Weekly

Library Journal
Hugo Danner, through the experimentation of his biologist father, becomes superhuman. He can lift tons, run at dazzling speeds, and jump incredible distances. What he can't do is find acceptance for being different. Dating to the 1930s, Wylie's fable is seen by some as a precursor to the Superman story. Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.

This is the first review i have ever written on twenty pages in just the style Wylie has in most of his work his way with words, how he molds your imagination as you read the next word more and more, you just can't help but turn the page and find out whats next, or you are listening to his perspective which is never dull or without reason and facts, This book doesn't compare to Generation of Vipers but for what it is, so far its great!

The story about a man born from science, following him throughout history as he helps friends, wars, and tries finding himself. The story is impossible to put down and definitely a worthwhile read.

Pulp-fiction classic. OCR mistakes are present throughout, but the price is certainly right!
