How long must various Christians remain excommunicated after they have confessed to committing villainous crimes?
One reason a villain would publicly confess his crimes is because he has re-evaluated his situation, and has decided it is in his best interests to stop concealing things and to make a public confession of his evil deeds. If he fears torture in Hell he might confess his crimes in hopes of escaping torture in Hell.
Complications arise because if a church lifts the excommunication on a villain too quickly, then issues with drinking damnation into your soul, issues with 1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 arise.
If a pedophile is raping kids in April, then says he's sorry in May, then if you will burn in HELL if you share the bread and the wine with him in June, then people need to be made aware of this information that YOU WILL BURN IN HELL if you...
If a Christian commits a non-villainous sin - Looking At Porn, Using Foul Language, SELF-ABUSE - THE "M WORD" etc., then he might be safe to partake of Holy Communion two weeks after he has repented and cleaned up his sinful ways, though perhaps he should wait a month.
Ìf a mom uses sex toys, then repents, it might be evil to demand she make a public confession of her self-pleasuring ways. Her kid might commit suicide if his mom is publicly humiliated. She just needs to stop self-pleasuring, IMHO, and wait a few weeks, or a month, before partaking of Holy Communion.
Then you have crimes which are evil and villainous, but not so extremely evil that the criminal must be forever excommunicated.
And then you have very evil crimes which leave the villain forever excommunicated after the villain claims he has repented.
You hear stories about cartel leaders who torture little kids to death in front of their parents because these cartel leaders want to inflict the cruelest possible revenge on their enemies.
If a Christian politician in the UK conceals grooming gang rapes, then says he's sorry, how long must he remain excommunicated?
The Christian scriptures don't give us much guidance on how long Christians must remain excommunicated after they confess to evil crimes while also claiming they have repented.
You really want to hear the opinions of the saints on issues involving 1 Cor 11. 27-29.
A LEGIT SAINT, as opposed to a SCAM SAINT, is a LEGIT member of the True Church.
