    Uplifting and Helpful

This book is aimed primarily at teenagers (perhaps 11-18) who are LGBTQ. Many topics are covered, and the language of the book is very supportive and uplifting -- like talking with a fantastic queer mentor. Some aspects of the book are simple, but these are the things that LGBTQ young people (like myself) need to hear and often don't. With LGBT topics left out of health classes and typical "Talks" with parents, even simple ideas need to be expressed, and this book gets those too. This isn't necessarily a comprehensive resource, but it truly does hit many topics -- some I didn't even consider! It's amazing how many questions come up when you find out your LGBTQ, and even years later there are some still unanswered or unaddressed. Overall, this book is a fantastic resource for anyone reading this review wondering if they are LGBTQ or for a parent or anyone else to give to any young person (even straight!).
