I love the show and had to have the CD. I really enjoyed listening to several old favorites in a new light. I enjoyed the CD as much as I enjoyed the show, and can't wait for more Glee CD's to come out.

I recently purchased the Season 1, CD 1 soundtrack from "Glee". I absolutely love the T.V. show and the music really makes the show memorable. The CD includes many great songs. My favorites are "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey and "Defying Gravity" - Wicked. These are very inspirational songs with great messages. Overall, the album is excellent for anyone who is a fan of "Glee" or anyone who enjoys popular music, a cappella renditions of songs, and musical theatre. I am looking forward to getting the Season 1, CD 2 soundtrack. I'm sure this album will be as good as CD 1! To all of you Glee fans out there - don't stop believing!

It's catchy, harmless fun, and I recommend it, but I do think it's a bit Rachel-heavy. Lea has a great voice, but she's not the only one on the show who has fans. Some of the choices for Cory are not his strongest moments. If you like the show, though, you'll like the CD. It was a bit disconcerting to me to find Defying Gravity on there, since that episode hasn't even aired as of the start of sales, but if you're used to the pop version and not the stage version, you should b happy to see it. (Check out my recommendation on that note!) As a soundtrack it serves the purpose, and I can't wait for the next volume.

This is an amazing CD, and well worth the eight bucks. (I think that's relatively cheep) The cast all have such amazing voices, it's unbelievable. In some of the songs, they sound like the original artist. Great buy....trust me.

I love this CD! If you don't watch the show you probably won't like it much, but it's great!

This CD is a must have for any fan of the hit TV show, Glee. Volume 1 recrods the best songs from the first half of season one so you can take the Glee kids with you to the gym or on a car ride.

I purchased this for my daughter as a birthday gift and she was thrilled! She listens to it OFTEN and now has Vol 2. While most parents will recognize some of the songs from our youth, it's nice that our kids can appreciate it too!

I have the GLEE 1 and 2 and they are both great. Good mixes of oldies, hip hop, rock, etc with their "mash-ups" that always get you singing along!

Overall I was very impressed with both the television show and this album. I won't be specific about each individual song, because the CD covers a lot of songs and like many people I tend to strongly like some songs and just as strongly dislike others on an album that covers as much ground as this. In other words, I thought some were really outstanding and others I didn't really like. And, of course, some of the songs work better in the context of the TV show. In any case, I thought overall that the arrangements and voices were excellent (even on the songs I don't like), and that the CD was worth the money.

Great to listen to and remember the programs each song represented. This program puts a smile on my face...and the music does the same.

The music from Glee season one was even better than when I first heard it on the TV show. Songs brought back images from the show and with the information on the CD, I got to know the singers better.

I am listening to this awesome CD as I write this review. I plan to buy Vol. 2 the next time I'm at Barnes and Nobles (which is about once every week). If you enjoy the show you will definitely love listening to this--I can almost see some of the original musical numbers as the cast is singing. It is uplifting and toe-tapping! You will not be disappointed.
