    Great Sequel to Glimpse!

Stacey has kept me entertained once again. I'm really picky about YA books, so I don't read too many of them. But I love this series, and I'll keep reading the books. There was a little more sexual content than I've seen in other young adult books I've read, but the fact is that this is what really goes on with teenagers, and the author really does a good job in portraying the thoughts and feelings of young people in this age group. Another winner!

    What a fantastic series!

I just need to say that I've never been interested in reading books on my computer before Stacey Wallace Benefiel. I borrowed Glimpse from a friend and loved it so much that when Glimmer came out I needed to read it regardless of it's format, and I'm glad I did. I love books that make me stay up passed my bedtime and this was most definitely one of them. Zellie is seriously one of my favorite characters, like ever. The language used in this book is perfect, I can really imagine the teenage conversations. "Please let my gaydar be on the fritz", I think I've said that or a variation of that phrase hundreds of times. Another thing I like about this series are the covers. I love love love the artwork. So now I'm waiting for the next installment... Really excited. Oh, another thing, if you haven't read Day of Sacrifice you should probably get on that. I think Stacey Wallace Benefiel is a fantastic writer and if you agree you should read her other stuff too. :)

    Holy Snap!

One of the most AMAZING book series I have EVER read!! Totally a must read! It is probably not for teens under 14 or 15, but I am sure if you read it, you will not be able to put it down! Finished in one day! Ahhhhh!! I must get the next!

    more from this reviewer

    Good

Still like this series, this book def had some interesting developments that once again I did not see coming. But also again people were a little too quick to forgive and forget. Maybe I'm just more immature and grudge-holding than the 16 year-old main character in 'Glimmer', but I felt like at least there should have been some apologies passed around before everything becomes fine-and-dandy again after betrayals, false accusations, and wrong-doings. But that's just me. Made it a little less realistic for me. But that being said, I'm excited for 'Glow' to see how everything gets resolved.

Devoured this in a matter of hours!

Yeah, so I pretty much devoured this in a matter of hours. I hardly ever read books in a few hours anymore. Although, I will allow for the fact that it is a weekend, ergo lots more time to actually read, ergo less distractions, but that’s not to discount just how much I enjoyed Glimmer in full flex.

So this time around, we get a little more action from Zellie and Avery on the virginity front (wink wink) and a lot more action on The Society front, mostly in the form of Ben and his Lookout, Frank’s involvement trying to strengthen Zellie’s power and figure out what Ben’s are all about. And then there’s this guy who’s plotting to kill them both, but, like in Glow, despite the potential of the situation to devolve into catastrophic dark places (like, oh, say, KILLING ZELLIE AND BEN), we all know that never happens. (Well, not really.)

Anyway, it’s all pure fluffy goodness all over again. Writing’s not spectacular, but the story’s far more readable than it has any rights to be. I still can’t believe I actually enjoy these books. But they’re good fun. What’s the point in denying that? Guilty pleasure, for sure.

Plus, I’m a sucker for homosexual/bisexual men and a girl who’s not afraid to lose her virginity at 16.

I’m actually excited about where Glow will go. :]

P.S. I stayed up until like 3 o’clock reading this. That’s always a good sign.

Great book but not for young teens

Love the series so far but it is definitely not for young teens. I would even hesitate to allow an older teen read it. Maybe over 18 for sexual content.

    Not what I was expecting...

The first book was really good, and then the author decides to add new characters and ruin it. Way too much sexual content for me and overusage of the F word. The teens sound like imbociles always saying freaking and other cliche things it got annoying. Just an overall stupid book definately wish I could get my money back. Please I beg you DONT GET IT!!!!!
