The authors of Global Climate Change, Sharon L. Spray and Karen L. McGlothlin, present the public with an excellent book that offers great introductory knowledge to global climate change. The authors were clever when it came to the organization of the book by the way they divided it in half to balance studies from natural sciences with studies from social sciences and humanities. I feel it is important when investigating a topic such as this one to explore it from as many different perspectives as possible. That is exactly what Spray and McGlothlin did. Global Climate Change poses a threat to our natural environment and ecosystems and the health of future generations. It is an extraordinarily complex and will prove to be a struggle across cultural, political, and social lines. The authors address all of these concerns in away that is not only informative, but also enjoyable to read. Whether a first time reader on the topic of climate change, or an experienced researcher of the phenomenon, the perspectives put forth from the various fields of study offer great in-depth investigations of global climate change.
