Editorial Reviews

Booknews
Tom Johnson, Corey Flintoff, Tony Kahn, and Ted Koppel are some of the better known contributors of the 16 essays, some of which were presented at a spring 1998 lecture series at the University of Rhode Island. The anthology is designed as a bridge between working journalists and academics in the field, inspired, says Silvia (journalism, U. of Rhode Island), by a six-month fellowship he served with Cable Network News in 1996. That does not explain, however, nor does he, the 1971 first edition. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
