The 5th edition of Glossary of Biotechnology and Agrobiotechnology Terms will be a significant expansion of the previous 4th edition. In the past decade, many new terms have been introduced due to the appearance and application of new crop plant breeding methods as well as technical advances in genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and agricultural research. About the Author

Kimball Nill is the Director of Market Development for the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (Mankato, Minnesota).　 He has spent decades proactively detecting emerging overseas agricultural trade barriers, and moved to eliminate or counter them before U.S. soybean exports are adversely impacted.　 He holds a B.S. Chemistry degree from North Dakota State University, and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Business.
